"... Since 1927 the two pipes have been obstinate in degassing, with their watery nails, the granite of the fountain. Their stubbornness is a neighbor of the stream, of two Romanesque bridges and of the school. The air transforms into wind when whipping gently the leaves of the poplars, the two pipes singing in two voices, the playful shouting of recess ... The circumstance invites in an irresistible way to stop, eyes closed now, and just listen, just breathe. And then be surprised by a smile that comes to one, who knows where, to the lips ... "

This is how the author describes our Caño fountain, a fountain that collects water from all the troughs that we find on our way from Navazas or Padro Cercado, where the colmenareños had to go to collect water from the construction of said fountain.

Within the Parque del Caño we also find an old trough or basin in a very good state of preservation, as well as old mill wheels, which save serve as tables.
