Cerrillo San Gregorio

If we walk through the town, we can appreciate the privileged views that Cerrillo San Gregorio offers us.

A natural park that occupies the highest place in the town, located near the Old Hermitage of S. Vicente and the Chapel of Fátima.

There were some ancient anthropomorphic tombs that the locals called

"The tombs of the Moors", but that according to other studies could be Visigoths. These tombs would support the theory that, although our history is dated in the 11th century, there could be settlements in the area in earlier times.

At the time of the reconquest, the Segovians settled in our town, and with them they brought their incipient cattle and wool industry and it is from there that our Cerrillo was used as a “sheep wash” and, of course, is part of the network of resting places on the Cordel del Puente de San Juan cattle track, as well as the Prado Cercado Rest, the Navarredonda Rest or the San Roque Rest, the latter in the village of the Vereda de los Montes de Toledo cattle track. .

It is a magnificent place for lovers of nature and photography, since we go to the cardinal point we are heading, we can enjoy beautiful views, with sunrises and sunsets of those that take our breath away.
